Halloween is a exiting time of year. We spend Halloween walking the streets of our small town, Enjoying seeing our Neighbours, friends and family. What other night all year around do you get to see everyone in your community. We walk around teaching the girls all about Halloween. How Halloween is a night that people used to believe was the night that ghosts would walk the earth and play tricks on the people, on their livestock, even wreck their crops. Because the people were so worried about the ghosts, they started wearing costumes to fool the ghost so they would leave them alone, they would set out treats so they wouldn‘t get the trick. We get dressed up we go door to door. Then the real lesson of Halloween begins the next morning when we wake up. Its November 1 and All Saints Day. We teach our girls that we do not become ghost that can walk about the earth playing tricks on people, but we go up to heaven with God, just like the Saints. We spend the day celebrating death in a good way, remember all those we love who have fallen, and made their way up to heaven. We celebrate all the blessing we are given here are earth, and in afterlife in heaven. We spend the day organizing all the candy, making little gift baggies to give out to our friends full of all their favourites. We teach them the lessons of Heaven, and the value of celebrating the life a person lived as well as mourning their death.
And Now Tomorrow the count down is over, Its Halloween.....so Stay tuned for more spooky Adventures for Halloween day!!!
