I am completely amazed that all 6 of us made it out the door in one piece today, Usually our breakfast table is spent all together snacking away and talking about everything under the sun. Unfortunately today everyone was crazy and lazy and the morning was spent with all us running around like that headless chicken. I thought to myself WOW what is in store for today if this is the start we all have.
That's when Mother Nature decided to help us out, once we got outside the sun was shinning, the leaves were showing off all their new leaf colours, and a nice peaceful setting fell over our small village. I thought to myself, this is how I need to set the pace for my day. It shouldn't matter how chaotic the day can become, because 15 mins spent outdoors in the Autumn Glory can take away that 1 hour of chaos. The life we live is so right now, so busy, so worried about getting to were we need to go. If you find yourself going crazy and feel that headless chicken coming on, take a break, take a walk think about all the things in nature to be thankful for. After all October is just around the corner. As soon as we got settled and ready to walk you could just see the biggest smiles on their faces, they are in no hurry, they don't care to get were they are going. We need to take a note from their page and enjoy life every single day in every single way!
Teaghan & Addison
Happy and smiling, Teaghan is all cleaned up and fells better.
Addison is still in her P.J's, I warned her she wouldn't have time to get dressed!
Elizabeth & Allison
Elizabeth made it without spilling herself off her bike, everything else is another story :)
Allison got ready in record time today and was quit pleased with herself.
Hailey
Poor Hailey, Decided to go to school today, even though she spent all morning coughing out that frog. I would of enjoyed her company at home today,we taking about Autumn the whole way to school!
Quote of the day:
"
As the day went on I made sure to set that thankful calm pace. The 3 older kids went to spend their day at school and then the afternoon at the Terry Fox run. Me and the little ones has a good idea to spend the afternoon in the Autumn Glory, so once playtime, snack time, craft time, lunchtime, nap time were done we headed out and about to explore Autumn. We went with some Friends to the Restaurant to have a snack, then spent the afternoon outside.
Cleaning up the leaves
Discovering the leaves
Playing in the leaves
Watching the leaves
Couldn't of asked for a better afternoon
Lesson learned about her beautiful hat, Bee go crazy for that flower, especially during out Autumn Glory Days!!
But it is ohhhh sooo cute :)
Time to go I Love Teaghan's ride to go pick up girls from school!
Our day is coming to a close, we get home from school, and I find some time to get my pictures loaded onto the computer to see what I got.
Allison approaches me and begins the broken record of asking over & over & over again if she can have a mini mint chocolate on my computer desk.
"No thank-you Alli you may not, you were kinda being rude by bugging me like that" 5 mins goes by and here comes Alli approaching me from the other side, I don't even really notice her until she is leaning her head on my shoulder, she then leans in to give a sweet kiss on my cheek....But out of the corner of my eye I spy her little hand reaching for the chocolates. She fooled me, she totally figured that she would just kill me with sweetness while she grabbed the sweets. I took this wonderful opportunity to tell her how she could of just tried to wait patiently and ask nicely and maybe she would get the chocolate. Then offered her a rewind....she then approached me with the crab walk, waited and then asked nicely for the chocolate, and received it.
Allison's Crab Walk
Taking a note from her page, I decide to try something new. Every night I send Gord a text saying "When you home" and I always get just a one time texts back. Today however I decided to wait to text him till later and then ask him with my nice words, I wrote "Hey Hunny, do you know yet when you will be home xoxo" this time I got a better return text,
"6:00, hugs & Kisses-xoxoxo"
But believe me when I say a few good words go a long way, both me and Allison learned to not just use our words, but use our nice words.
The rest of the night when on like clockwork, super time, daddy time, bath time, snack time, story time, teeth time, bedtime. Now here I sit for Blog time :)
Now for the funny Highlights of the day:
Addison & Daddy saying goodbye to each other 5 o'clock today
"You be a good girl today Addison"
"You be good today too Daddy"
I can see why she says this, ask her what Daddy did the last time she was at home she will tell you "Daddy broke the kitchen" her family is rebuilding their whole kitchen.
Later that day while Auntie Nikki talked to Addison about kitchen.
"were does mommy do her dishes"
"giggle, giggle, outside"
which isn't true, but Addison sure thought it was and though it funny too, Oh how I would love to think like a kid :)
Things I could not live without today and why!
My Phone for my wonderful text today, and my camera for giving me wonderful Autumn Glory Pictures
My Rant for the Day:
So somebody please tell me why If a unfixed, unleashed male dog stalks my property because my unfixed leashed up female dog is in heat, why is it up to me to get my dog fixed or at least up to me to catch the little bugger and hold him put until the dog catcher can get here, I am not the person who didn't care enough to leash my dog. Wake up and smell the coffee Dog Catcher I am never going to catch that dog and neither are you. So listen if you have a brain in your head to get a dog have a brain in your head to keep it on your own properety, everyday all day long visits off a leash will not buy you the prom king and queen vote in your town. Be smart, Have a heart, nobody wants to hit your kids dog today....Leash your Dog
Goodnight All......and tune in tomorrow for.....????
